We decided to hit the beach yesterday. St. Pete is expecting some rain the first of this week, so we took full advantage of a beautiful Sunday to take the kids to the beach. I've always heard people talk about their sons being "all boy" and I always understood what they meant. However, having a son of my own has given that comment a whole new meaning. After a daughter and two nieces who are as girly as can be, I'm amazed at the things that Brock just adapts to. For example, he loves loud trucks and motorcycles and stares as they go by. He usually can be found rolling his cars around the living room carpet and he pounds his hands on anything that will make noise. Since we have been in Florida, he points at the boats as they go by the bay behind the condo. Take him to the beach and give him some toys and he's happy as a clam. I remember Ali being very slow to adapt to the feel of the sand, but Brock took right to it. The fluffy stuff was a little foreign to him, but we go him and Ali down by the water and he as good to go. Of course, Ali is an old pro at this stuff and went straight into creating sandy treasures!
