Our Trip to Morton

The kids and I took our annual trip to Morton a few weeks ago. I always love doing this because it gives the kids a chance to see their cousins and grandparents. It's the first time they have seen each other since Christmas so they are so excited to just be together and play. It's even more fun to watch their reunions since they are older and remember how much fun they have.  We missed Uncle Jeff, Aunt Cat and Hayes, as they were wrapping up their trip to Hawaii.  However, we got to celebrate Grandpa's birthday, which was extra special. We always miss Nick being with us, but really soak up some quality time with the Hopkins Family.

Another special treat that I got was to spend some one on one time with my sister in law Amber.  I think we haven't sat down for an uninterrupted conversation since 2007 when the girls were born.  We got to escape for a few hours to eat lunch and shop. We ended up sitting in a Panera just talking...probably some of the best (and cheapest) therapy I've had in a while. What a great time just sharing in the adventures of motherhood.

Ali and Brielle are at such a fun age. They always pick up right were they left off...which usually involves raiding the dress up closest. They switch between princesses and dog costumes.

Brielle was working on her evil stepmother face!

I think this was attempt 98 at getting the two of them to smile together.

So proud of the beautiful young lady this girl is becoming. Delaney such a good cousin and I'm glad we got to spend an evening with her and Max to celebrate Grandpa's birthday

Got to see Max play in his basketball game on Saturday afternoon. So impressed with our little athlete and there's an extra special place in my heart for his basketball skills. He's quite the baller! :)

Nothing much I can say about this face...pretty blessed to be his mommy

Grandpa and his crew

One of the best mommies I know and she always teaches me a thing or two (or three or four)

This little chick is on the move.  Annelise is the smallest one in the group, but she holds her own with this wild bunch.  She loves the excitement

Ali and Lady...her best buddy (and closest thing she will have to a pet in the near term)

A little cousin love!
