An Impromptu Fieldtrip

I've enjoyed having Ali home during Fall Break.  I've tried to plan different things that we can't normally do with her in school during the week. We had plans to visit Nick's office today and have lunch. It's always fun to take the kids downtown and visit Nick. As we left downtown, I decided to visit the Colts Pro Shop at Lucas Oil Stadium (for my Illinois Family, that's where the Indianapolis Colts play their football games :)). I thought I would try and get the kids something and I may have wanted a little treat, as well.  Someone stopped us and asked if we were there for the tour. I quickly said we were just looking around, but decided to inquire further. Come to find out, they were getting ready to start a tour of the facility, which includes press boxes, locker room and field access. It was relatively cheap and the kids really wanted to do it.  I called it our impromptu field trip. It was actually pretty neat and the kids had fun...

This is the kids sitting in the press box

This is a picture from the top press box, it's the highest seats in Lucas Oil

I thought this was interesting.  It's the instant replay booth and our tour guide explained that it stays locked during games and has a security guard on duty

I'm pretty sure Brock got comfortable in the club level seats

The Colts Locker Room

This picture isn't great quality, but I love Brock's face. One eyebrow is raised.  I told him it was Andrew Luck's locker and that's the face I got.  I don't think he was impressed

Brock lounging on the training room table

Ali was pretty comfortable on the tables. Ironically, that's probably how most players sit when they are in there...on their phones

Standing in the Colt's Tunnel....getting ready to run onto the field

I was losing Brock's cooperation very quickly here

Just think this is a cool picture.  The field is just so massive!
