This sounds weird, but my kids don't really like cake. So, we went with cookie cakes this year. Ali chose chocolate chip and Brock got M&M.
All the kids enjoying a little dinner before the princess and pirate adventure
Brock and Dane
Grandma Dotty joined the fun
This picture took like 15 attempts to get them all at least looking in the same direction
The boys got pirate patches and swords and the girls got necklaces and wands
The first stop, find gold coins in the kiddie pool of bubbles
Stop 2...walk the plank
This wasn't part of the adventure but had to laugh and what a group of children look like when armed with swords and wands in an open space :)
Stop 3 was a matching game of characters and their friends (Ariel & Flounder, Peter Pan & Tinkerbell, etc)
I don't want to mess with this guy!
Stop 4 was drowning out the Villains with water balloons (Captain Hook, Ursula, etc.)
The kids then ran to find a pinata filled with goodie bags.
Aubree, Paige and Ali
Dane was showing me his belly and with that face, I couldn't resist taking pictures
Happy Birthday Sweet Girl
Make a Wish, Ali...
And Brock, too
