We got new rides in the Hopkins household! Ok, we moved houses, too, but that is a whole separate blog. Plus, this was way cooler to Ali and Brock. Nick ordered Brock the Strider which is a different kind of "bike." It has no pedals and is supposed to teach kids balance. My nephew has one and actually flies around on it. With that, Ali had completely outgrown her bike. I'm pretty sure her knees touched the handlebars when she tried to ride it. So, Nick assembled Brock's new ride today and we surprised Ali with a trip to Toys R Us tonight. It was so cute. She was so excited. We actually had to jumped up two bike sizes...the kid is so long! She settled on a Barbie bike, complete with the helmet and accessories (bell, mirror, and bike chain, of course!) We tacked on a Spiderman helmet and some Cars shades for Brock. Brock has been wearing Ali's princess sunglasses the last couple weeks and Nick couldn't take it anymore. He looks much more manly with the lighting bolt shades! Yes, they are on backwards in all the pictures below. We snuck in a quick ride when we got home, but are excited for warmer weather to really get going!
