Happy Birthday Ali and Brock

It's been a birthday filled few days around the Hopkins household. Ali's 5th birthday was on Thursday, and Brock followed on Saturday with the big #2. We had a friends party for Ali Thursday night at our house. I planned a "Tangled" theme scavenger hunt for all the kids. It was a big hit. Plus, Ali was able to celebrate with her classmates during school on Thursday.   Ali has become a very sweet young lady. She's particular about everything, but loves hugs and kisses.  Five years ago, it took her 50+ hours to get her and she continues to try to do things her way.

Nick's parents came in town for the weekend and brought Ali and Brock's cousin Brielle. Ali and Brielle are 4 months apart in age and are little buddies.  We enjoyed a trip to Build-A-Bear, some lunch and a family party at Gigi and Papaw's house on Brock's birthday (we celebrated Ali's too with the grandparents).  Brock is a tough guy.  He loves a quick snuggle when he wakes ups, he wants books read before bed and he's all about trucks, balls and food in between.  It seems he's talking a little more each day. My current favorites are "MMM, dats good" and "Dank u Aiee" (Thank you Ali).  We are very blessed to have so many people love our children.  The have lots of love and support and that's more than any parent could ask for.

Here's her birthday celebration in the Owl class

Happy Birthday, Brock!

After cake, I was changing Brock and my Aunt Susan got him laughing so hard. Unfortunately, this picture just captures the big smiles, but he was giggling at her noises.. It was so funny!

Ali's Rapunzel umbrella! Every time it rains, she worries about getting wet and says she needs a princess umbrella

We told Ali to close her eyes for her present from us and Maddi and Paige joined in the surprise...
