Ali is doing great and becomes a little person more each day. She's doing great in school and amazes us at how much she learns. She's working on her letters and likes to make "books." She gets computer paper and draws pictures on every page and wants me to staple them together to make a book. She learned about forgiveness last week at school. When I picked her up from school she said, "Mommy, I forgive Brock." When I asked her for what, her reply was "for all the times that I hurt him." Well, we may need to work on how the whole forgiveness thing works, but it's a start.
Brock is an animal. He's all over the place and getting very fast. He likes to be chased, especially after I get his clothes off for a bath. He loves to play basketball with his dad. I think Nick likes it because Brock is like a permanent rebounder...he just brings the ball to Nick. The kid loves to eat. Nick is fairly certain that Brock could eat more than him. Hey, who could blame the kid for enjoying food?
Here are some highlights from the past month...
Papaw and Brock on Pacers opening night.
Ali suckered (I mean, politely asked) Gigi to buy her the Boomer Doll.
Ali's class pet, Eddie the Elephant, got to come home and spend a few days with Ali and all her friends.
Happy Boy Brock getting ready for a day out
Ali loves to color and is very meticulous...um, hello....the product of two accountants. Need I say more?
Ali and me at dinner before Disney on Ice (Maddi was the official photographer)
After filling out a credit application, I was able to take out a small loan to buy these two amazingly expensive cups of ice
Good Morning, everyone! Brock enjoying some breakfast. Brock challenged the couch to a dual, and the couch won...leaving nice rug burn on his forehead
Brock and his friend, Vivian. My friend Krista has twins that are about a month older than Brock. However, Miss Vivian is a peanut compared to the boys
This is Oliver...look at the precious smile! How could his parents actually tell him "no" to anything?
Last but not least, it was fun having the Super Bowl in Indy. We enjoyed watching the game with some friends over at TJ and Kelli's house. The big kids enjoyed a babysitter, but Brock hung out with the adults and was quite impressed with Madonna's halftime show!
