It's hard to believe Brock is 10 months old today. Our theories were confirmed last week...Brock is one big boy! He went last week for a checkup day with Dr. Roscoe and Brock is 23 lbs and 30 3/4 inches long. He's in the 96th percentile for height and 75th percentile for weight. He has the green light on people food. I was easing into some people foods, but he was mostly on baby food, still. Thankfully, Gigi wasn't there our she would have taken him to Dairy Queen on the way home. He's doing great! Ali was a great big sister at the doctors office. She kept asking if he had to get a shot and when Dr. Roscoe was checking him out, Ali came over and patted his back and kissed his head and whispered "it'll be okay, buddy!" Way too cute!!
We were able to spend last weekend in Morton, IL with Nick's family. It's always great to go to Morton and spend some time with the Hopkins family. The family is growing by the year (grandchild #9 was born at the end of May). There are lots of busy kiddos running around, but it's fun to see them together. Ali loves playing with her cousin, Brielle. Brielle and Ali are about 4 months apart in age, so the have really have fun together. Brock just sits around looking at all the chaos like, "what the heck is going on around here?" We are looking forward to our annual July 4th trip with the Hopkins next weekend. We are going to Wisconsin Dells, which is a great family vacation spot for those of you who have never been.
This weekend TJ and Kelli are moving into their new house. It's all hands on deck and my role is kid duty this afternoon. I currently have a child napping in every room and Maddi is asleep on the couch next to me. I'm just wondering how long the peace and quite will last. It's always crazy to have the four of them together but I enjoy watching them all interact. They hug each other, hit each other, tattle on each other, dance with each other....the list could go on. As long as there is no blood, I have completed my mission. I'm very excited for TJ and Kel. The house is going to be great. Ali walked in today and I asked if she wanted to see Paige and Maddi's new rooms. Her response was, "well, where is my room?" I know that house will host a lot of sleepovers and family memories. As Kel told me this morning as she was taking a carload of stuff between the houses..."I am NEVER doing this again. I told TJ we are getting one of those little electric chairs to take us up and down stairs and we will live in this house forever." For those of you who know Kelli, I'm sure you can hear her squeaky voicing that through the phone. Love you, KEL!
