Okay, so it's officially June and I am just now sitting down to do a spring update. Rest assured, my summer updates are usually more frequent than my winter blogging trends. It's been a great kick off to spring. Winter was long...very long...very, very long. We survived the Polar Vortex and more snow and ice than I care to remember. Ali enjoyed a handful of snow days along the way.
The kids and I were able to escape to Florida for Spring Break with my mom. We didn't have the world's greatest weather, but we enjoyed a relaxing week. After the winter we had, it was definitely nice to get into warmer climates.
I usually like to take the kids to Morton to see Nick's family sometime in March or April, so we did that the last weekend in tax season. We usually don't see Nick that weekend anyways, so we went to see his family :). It's always great for Ali and Brock to see their cousins. They are such fun ages and really enjoy spending time together. The minute we get to Morton, Ali and Brielle usually disappear to play and we don't see Ali again until we leave on Sunday. It's way too cute and they are truly best buds. The boys are hitting fun ages as they are starting to play together more. They are usually all about pirates and doing anything that annoys the girls.
Last but not least, we found out in March that Baby Hopkins #3 (Baby H3) is due in November. We are super excited. We waited to share the news with Ali, Brock, parents, etc until we were a little further down the road. Ali has been asking for us to have a baby so she was so excited. She talks to the baby and hugs my belly. It's way too cute. Brock talks about their being a baby brother in his belly. I think it will gain a little more reality as my baby bump continues to grow.
The last few weeks have been fun as we celebrated Memorial Day and the end of school. More posts to come on those events...
