Fall Fun

It's hard to believe it's been a month since I have updated the blog. Here's an update from our world...

BROCK

Brock is our little animal. We never really had what I would categorize as the "terrible two's" phase with Ali...well, we are paying our dues now.  Brock is all boy.  He gets into everything, runs around 100 miles an hour, loves to say "let's go!", and has a temper like nothing else.  He gets mad and screams "no" at me...which usually doesn't end well.  I've lost count of how many times we have the following conversation
Me: "Brock Anthony, you will not throw fits and scream like that. Do you understand?"
Brock: "es, mommy"
Me: "What do you say to mommy?"
Brock: "sorry"
Brock had his wellness visit last week and is doing great. He's our big boy and runs right around 70 percentile for height and weight.  However, the kicker of the visit was when Megan (the kid's pediatrician and thankfully, one of my closest friends) and I were talking and Brock was playing in the diaper bag. He pulls out a steak knife and hands it to me. You can imagine the looks on our faces.  I assured Megan that my children weren't "packing" and begged her not to call CPS.  We had a good laugh and I quickly realized that it was from one of the restaurants we ate at the weekend before. Brock is usually shoving things off the table and I'm guessing the knife fell off the table and into our bag.  I'm not sure if it was a relief to Megan or if she considered calling the police because we were evidently thieves as well.
The picture above was taken at the annual Corporate Challenge which is an event where businesses put teams in to compete in various events.  I took the kids down to cheer on Sponsel CPA Group!

ALI

Ali is entering fall break and has the next two weeks off. We have lots of fun play dates and things planned. I actually am able to take a week off and hang out with the kids, which will be great. Ali's big accomplishment recently was getting her ears pierced. The picture above is right before the big event. The remaining pictures from that experience are not so sweet. :) She was not happy with us, but has quickly changed her tune and is very proud of her new earrings. Ali is doing great at school and is becoming quite our little lady. She is VERY opinionated about what she wears and how it looks. She's very girly and loves dresses and skirts. She finally has adjusted to the fact that we can't wear sundresses and sandals anymore. Ali and I went on her class field trip a couple weeks ago to Waterman Farms. It's always fun to see Ali interact with her classmates. Unfortunately her best buddy, Emma, was sick and couldn't go, but here are some other shots from our day...

Getting ready for the hayride

Ali and her friend Baylor.  Baylor's grandma taught business and accounting classes to TJ and I in high school.  Mrs. Powers was definitely one of our favorites.  TJ was quite the teacher's pet! It's funny how small of a world it is sometimes.
